Thailand: What’s Love Got To Do With It?

Thailand: What’s Love Got To Do With It?
BE YOUR OWN BANANA THEATRE COMPANY PRESENTS:
Thailand: What’s Love Got To Do With It?
Date: Tuesday 19th - Saturday 23rd June @ 8.30pm
Tickets: €12 / €10
Venue: Quad Bar, Tuckey Street, Cork City, Ireland, d'y'konw!
Cork Midsummer Festival
Performed by Mairtín de Cogáin. Directed by Brian Desmond “…I mean, ya don’t even have to chat them up. They’re all over ya as soon as ya walk in the door. Not like the ones back home that be like tigers and wouldn’t even talk to ya.
Unbelievable!” July 2006. The economy’s booming in Celtic Tiger Cork, and Declan’s got his bags packed for the holiday of a lifetime. 24 years old, in a foreign land, with a wad of notes in his pocket, Declan and the lads embark on a bizarre journey of selfdiscovery and cheap thrills. It’s Ireland on tour. It’s Jack’s army reborn, but this time the match ticket is only 5 euro (or two for a tenner).
From the creative partnership that brought you De Bogman (“excellent… considerable writing, directing and acting talents…”, Irish Examiner), and from the company that brought you The Self-obsessed Tragedy of Ed Malone (“…Cork cult classic…”, Irish Examiner) and The Ballad of Badger Bickle’s Youngfella (“…*****: Brilliant…”, Irish Times). Featuring reknowned story-teller and performer Mairtín de Cogáin (“…a seanchaí for the 21st century…”, Celtic News, USA).
Unsuitable for children, prudes and pseudo-liberals.
